Death/Grief/Wills/Trusts – Enrichment Night Activity

Spiritual Lesson

The lesson was prepared using the Questions and Answers section of the June 2005 Ensign “How can I help someone who is grieving“.

Wills and Trusts

We invited a paralegal to come speak on Wills and Trusts. — Inviting a paralegal (instead of an attorney) was key so that she was prohibited from giving anyone legal advice, and wasn’t promoting her or her attorney’s services.

The paralegal based her lesson on the American Bar Association’s Guide to Wills and Estates, Second Edition : Everything You Need to Know About Wills, Estates, Trusts, and Taxes The ABA is the nation’s premier source of legal information, and this text is written so the layperson can gain an understanding of the basics of estate-planning.

(((I’ll email the paralegal to see if I can post her extensive lesson outline here.)))
