How to Pass off a Value Experience at YW in Excellence

Personal Progress Value Experience Individual Worth 7 is especially good for Young Women in Excellence. Read it below:

Individual Worth 7:

Heavenly Father has given you special gifts. Read 1 Corinthians 12:4–12; 13; Moroni 7:12–13; 10:8–18; and Doctrine and Covenants 46:11–26. Ask a family member, a Young Women leader, and a friend to write down positive qualities the Lord has given you. List your gifts in your journal, and write how you can continue to develop these gifts and use them to serve your family and others.

How to implement it…

STEP ONE: For a mutual activity, invite the girls to write one positive quality God has given each of their classmates.

STEP TWO: Contact girls’ parents in person at church or by telephone and ask them to tell you a few positive qualities God has give their daughter (notes sent home are invariably lost or forgotten — so email/telephone/in person contact works best).

STEP THREE: Pray for inspiration, and write down some qualities of each of the girls in your class.

STEP FOUR: Type the positive qualities for each girl on a separate piece of paper. You might choose to use the theme of your YWIE with the paper, or you could choose a scripture above to include. You might even use a “gift” theme, or wrap them in gift wrap.

STEP FIVE: Present the papers to your girls at YWIE along with a challenge to use these great gifts to serve their families and others.
