In a faraway kingdom, a long time ago, (number of 12-year-old young women) young princesses were becoming of age. A proclamation was made to bring each of them to the royal court. Our story begins as they find themselves in “A Whole New World.”
We want to welcome our new Beehives for(year).
In this new world of Young Women, you will experience many new and wonderful things.
Sing Song: (sung to the music of A Whole New World from Disney’s Aladdin)
I can show you the world. Now that you’re in Young Women.
Tell us princess, now when did you last let your heart decide?
We can open your eyes. Take you wonder by wonder.
Over sideways and under on a Young Women Mutual night.
A whole new world, a new fantastic point of view.
Our leaders love us so, show us where to go, and give our lives new meaning.
A whole new world. A dazzling place I never knew
But when I’m 12 this year, it’s crystal clear that now we’re in a whole new world with you.
Unbelievable friends, indescribable feelings.
Sledding, service, four-wheeling on a Wednesday mutual night.
A whole new world. A hundred thousand things to see.
You’re like a shooting star. You’ve come so far.
You can’t go back to where you used to be.
Every turn a surprise. Every moment gets better.
We’ll chase you anywhere. No time to spare.
Let us share this whole new world with you.
A whole new world. (A whole new world)
That’s where we’ll be. (That’s where we’ll be.)
A thrilling place (A wond’rous place)
For you and me.
Introductions of new princesses (new Beehives).
In this New World there are seven cherished values. With us tonight, we have seven princesses to represent each value. They will explain them to you. (dressed in a modest costume to represent their character)
Jasmine from Aladdin
Cinderella (i.e. good works)
Belle from Beauty and the Beast (i.e. Knowledge)
Pocohontas (i.e. Individual Worth)
Apply the seven values to each princess chosen
Talks: given by seven Young Women focusing on their particular princess from the Disney movie and how it relates to their value.
2-4 minute talk
Princess Cinderella represents good works by serving her wicked step sisters and mother.
This value is very important in our lives because……….
So as young women we can strive to become better people.
Add a scripture, a quote, a thought on the value. Also include how this value has affected your life, and/or how I have used this value, and/or how I have seen it used.
