Hand Painted Glass Plates

You will be painting the underside of the plate so that food won’t ever touch the paint.

Tape the design you have chosen on the side of the plate you will be eating off of so that you can see it through the underside of the plate (the side you’ll be painting on).

Paint the pattern. Avoid painting letters or words because they are difficult to paint. If this is a must, remember they have to be painted on BACKWARDS so that when flipped over to the eating portion of the plate, they turn out right.

After allowing the paint to dry. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes to make this painting project permanent. Baking makes the paint both dish washer and microwave safe.
