Mother’s Day Plates
We have used white glass plates for Mother’s Day. They turned out really nice and the Mother’s were so excited to get them.
We first made sure that the children had an old tshirt of some sort over their good clothes!
Each child had a white glass plate. We used gold foil acrylic paint but you can use any color. Then we took a paint sponge. Dip it in the paint and paint the childs hand. You then press the painted hand on the plate and be careful not to smear or smudge. Under the handprint we wrote the childs first name. Then at the top edge of the plate we wrote Mother’s Day and on the bottom edge we wrote the date that the gift was given with an acrylic paint pen. This part could be done ahead of time. They turned out so nice.
